Owner Pam Waugh has a lifelong passion for sewing and more than 20 years’ experience as a wardrobe mistress.
But what keeps customers coming back to Strobes time and time again is Pam’s dedication to her customers. However unusual a request or challenging a timescale, Pam and her team do whatever it takes to deliver.

Since Strobes began, Pam has . . .
- Sourced a shirt in just the right shade of green for the BBC’s Eastenders
- Tracked down a bunch of banana costumes for a Starbucks promotion
- Supplied costumes to bring popular children’s characters to life for the flagship store of the John Lewis Partnership
- Provided sideburns (and rhinestone
encrusted suit) for an Elvis tribute act
- Supplied the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Trust with traditional lederhosen and dirndls for a fundraising trip to Italy
- Kitted out the majority of the cast for a production of
Aladdin
- Made costumes for several pantomimes (Oh yes she did!)
